Do your products have an expiration date?
All our products have a Period-after-opening symbol (PAO) printed on the product container and/or on the recyclable box that it comes in. The symbol states how many months you have to use the product after it’s opened for the first time. You can find the symbol by locating an icon that looks like a jar with a number, followed by the letter ‘M’, on it.
Does Ole test on animals?
No, the entire line is 100% cruelty-free.
What is Ole’s testing process?
Our products won’t reach you until they’ve gone through rigorous testing, including safety, toxicity, stability and allergens.
Each of our products also undergoes a series of third-party clinical tests and comprehensive consumer perception evaluations. We test our formulas on different skin types, skin tones and ethnicities.
Of course, we never test on animals.
Have Ole’s products been tested with makeup, to help the wear/performance?
Many of our products—check out our Makeup Prep Collection—are tested with makeup to improve and extend makeup wear.
Are Ole products natural?
We use both naturally-derived ingredients, as well as lab-developed ingredients that have been thoroughly tested for safety and toxicity.
We also use naturally-derived fragrance to provide an enjoyable sensorial experience.
Can I use dark spot toner if I don’t have dark spots?
Yes, even if you don’t have dark spots, you can use Glow2OH Dark Spot Toner all over your face to keep your complexion smooth and bright.
Are Ole products vegan? Gluten free?
All of our products are vegan except for Banana Bright Eye Crème, which contains beeswax.
We formulate with non-gluten ingredients.
Why do Ole products contain fragrance, essential oils and color?
Ole started in a spa and we carry that indulgence with us in every formula we create. Our product line features transformative formulas with delicious scents and touchable textures to help you to create a spa-like experience in the comfort of your own home.
We use essential oils—like citrus oils—for their benefits and the sensorial experience they provide.
All of our products go through a rigorous testing process, ensuring each formula meets strict global regulations and safety standards. Each product is tested for safety, toxicity and allergens, and we also disclose fragrance and potential allergens in our ingredient lists.
Are Ole products recyclable?
We are actively working toward a more sustainable future for our products & packaging.
We are currently incorporating bio-resin & PCR (post-consumer recycled) materials into our packaging.
In 2022, we are transitioning to using recyclable glass jars.
Many of our packaging components are made with recyclable mono-material plastics and all of our products feature FSC-certified cartons.
Does Ole use parabens?
No, our products do not contain parabens.
Are Ole products clean?
The brand is Clean at Sephora certified and refrains from using more than 1,400 ingredients banned by the EU.
All of our products are paraben-free, phthalate-free, sulfate-free and talc-free.
Are Ole products pregnancy- and breastfeeding-safe?
We publish all of our ingredients lists and encourage you to share them with your physician when discussing skincare during pregnancy.

Can you mix products from different collections?
Yes, we encourage mixing collections!
It’s common to have multiple skin concerns—mixing and matching allows you to address those different concerns with different products.
What order should I use my Ole products in?
We recommend moving from thinnest to thickest: cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer, eye cream.
You can also start your routine with a face mask 2-3 times a week.
What skin types are Ole products right for?
Truth: All skin types—for those looking to brighten skin and prevent visible signs of aging.
Balance:Combination or oily skin; great for detoxifying and purifying pores, as well as minimizing surface oil.

What products are good for blemishes and/or stressed skin?
Our Balance collection is perfect for anyone looking to calm stressed skin and/or purify their pores.

How long before I should see results?
Our products have instant (after one use) results, as well as results over time (1-8 weeks) results.
With skincare, you can generally expect to see major results anywhere from 4-8 weeks.
For best results, we suggest sticking with your routine for at least 8 weeks.
Should I wear SPF every day? Why do I need to wear SPF if I am using AHAs?
Yes, you should wear SPF every day, especially if you are using acids, retinols or retinol alternatives. These ingredients can make your skin extra prone to sun damage.
We like to think of SPF as your best line of defense for anti-aging—going outside without SPF can undo all of your skincare benefits.
Why does Ole use bakuchiol?
Ole was inspired by the dramatic age-fighting benefits retinol delivers, but wanted to find a plant-based alternative.
He selected bakuchiol, derived from the Ayurvedic babchi herb, after learning that it delivers retinol-like youth-boosting benefits—and is suitable for use during the day.
Why does Ole use different types of vitamin C?
We use pure vitamin C, as well as vitamin C derivatives in our formulas—different forms of vitamin C have their own unique benefits, and we want our products to deliver premium efficacy and benefits.
We love 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid, a direct derivative of ascorbic acid, because it provides the same great benefits as pure vitamin C without the negative issues that are often associated with straight ascorbic acid formulas.
What is stable vs. unstable forms of vitamin C?
Vitamin C is known to be highly sensitive, and can be considered unstable if not formulated correctly.
When we formulate with vitamin C, we take into account all formula aspects and attributes (i.e. the mix of key actives, the packaging if the formula is water-based vs oil-based, overall target pH, etc.) to ensure that the best derivative is chosen for ensured efficacy, stability and product benefits.
What do acids do and how should I incorporate them into my routine?
When using acids, you should always patch test and work into your routine slowly.
- AHA (alpha hydroxy acid): Chemical exfoliant; helps smooth skin texture (examples: glycolic and lactic acid)
- PHA (polyhydroxy acid): Chemical exfoliant; helps smooth skin texture (a little bit plumper than AHAs—they don’t go as deep as they exfoliate; that means less irritation)
- BHA (beta hydroxy acid): Help lift and loosen dead skin cells that can clog pores (example: salicylic acid)
- LHA (lipohydroxy acid): Help lift and loosen dead skin cells that can clog pores.
- Hyaluronic Acid: Helps plump skin with hydration and support a strong moisture barrier.
- Essential Fatty Acid: Moisturize and help soften.
What is the difference between chemical and physical exfoliation?
Physical exfoliation uses small particles—we use ultra-fine sugar and Icelandic volcanic sand—to manually scrub away rough, flaky skin and let smoother skin glow through.
Chemical exfoliation involves acids—such as AHAs, BHAs and PHAs—to loosen the “glue” that holds the dead surface layer of skin together and reveal the newer, fresher skin underneath.

What is the moisture barrier? What ingredients help to strengthen it?
The moisture barrier is your skin's first line of defense. When it's strong, the moisture barrier keeps the good in, and the bad out.
However, life stressors—aging, sun and pollution—can weaken it and cause moisture to escape, leaving you with dull, dry, itchy or irritated skin.

Do I have to pay sales tax?

We collect the simplified sellers use tax on items delivered into Alabama and the tax will be remitted on the customer’s behalf to the Alabama Department of Revenue. How do I confirm my order has been placed?

How do I track my order?
You can track your order: here. When your order is ready to be shipped, you will receive a shipment confirmation e-mail. The majority of our orders are shipped within 1-2 business days after the order has been placed. The e-mail will contain shipment details, your tracking number and a package tracking link. CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS
Can I change or cancel my order after it has been placed?
Given our prompt shipping process, orders cannot be cancelled or changed once they are placed. If you made a mistake or changed your mind about your order, you can return your purchase for a full refund within 60 days of receiving it.
Can I return my purchase? / What is the return policy?
If you are not completely satisfied with your OLEHENRIKSEN purchase or gift for any reason, you may return it for a full refund within 60 days of the original purchase date without paying return shipping or handling fees. We will process returns as soon as we receive them for the purchase amount minus the original shipping charges, but sometimes it can take up to 60 business days for the credit to appear on your account.
- When you return your purchase to OLEHENRIKSEN.com by mail within 60 days of purchase date, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method for the price of the item(s).
- Unfortunately we cannot accept returns or issue refunds after 60 days.

Unfortunately, we can’t offer merchandise exchanges on orders shipped internationally. Only credit back to the original form of payment is available.
If you don’t absolutely love your OLEHENRIKSEN purchase, you can return it within 10 days of purchase. We’ll process your return as soon as we receive it for the purchase amount minus the original shipping charges and any additional fees.
