Why do I need a complexion sponge?

Complexion Sponge

When it comes to beauty, I used to be a minimalist with my skincare and a maximalist with my makeup. Now that I’ve had a chance to learn from expert Ole Henriksen, I rarely feel the need to cover up my skin. My foundation has been replaced with a simple, inexpensive tool – the complexion sponge. A complexion sponge will actually improve the texture of your skin and help you get a more thorough cleanse. Use it to apply your cleanser, as a gentle exfoliator or to remove a mask.

Our complexion sponges are made from synthetic material and packaged in a dehydrated state so they will not harbor bacteria the way a terry cloth would. Just add water and watch the sponge expand! Before using the sponge a second time, make sure it’s completely dry to avoid bacteria growth. Each sponge can last up to 3 months.

Unfortunately, not everyone can use a complexion sponge. If you have inflamed cystic acne like I did before treatment, avoid this tool until your acne has cleared. As gentle as it is, the sponge can irritate the inflamed areas and until your skin has calmed down, extra exfoliation is unnecessary. If you’re looking to improve the texture of your skin, pick up a complexion sponge today. It’s a simple solution to many of your skin care concerns. The best part, it is just $6 for a package of two.
