What Makes African Red Tea So Effective?

African red tea, also known as Roobois, is an ingredient that graces many of our most popular products like our award winning african red tea self heating body soufflé as well as spa treatments like our african red tea body cocktail.

Inquiring minds want to know: what makes african red tea such an effective ingredient? Well, I’m glad you asked! Ole has always said, “Nature + Science = Perfect Skin” and african red tea is an outstanding source of naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that provide your body’s largest organ with everything it needs to be healthy.

Found in Cape Town, South Africa, we like to think of african red tea as vitamins for the skin! The free-radical preventing properties of african red tea are 50X more potent than those of green tea, making it exceptional in its ability to repair the skin with superior anti-aging, firming, exfoliating and oxygenating benefits. Not to mention, it is rich in many absorbable nutrients such as iron, potassium, calcium, copper, zinc, magnesium, and fluoride, which organically contribute to your overall well-being.

To me, the coolest part about this ingredient is that it contains natural alpha-hydroxy acids; these acids act as a gentle way to thoroughly exfoliate the skin and reconnect you with that soft, baby skin of yours (yes, please)!

Our clients are raving about our african red tea based treatments and products for their beautiful citrus aromas, and scrumptious results – who wouldn’t want a healthy, fresh and youthful body on the inside and out? We invite you to visit our spa and indulge yourself in an african red tea treatment—we’ll even serve you african red tea in our relaxation room. Ole loves it and we know you will too!

What are some of the benefits of African Red Tea when you drink it? And a souffle thats good for you? I need to pick that up!

  2. I read somewhere that traditionally red tea is viewed as a ubiquitous cure-all in South Africa, and it is commonly offered to guests and people who feel restless or upset. Several coffee shops in South Africa have recently begun to even sell red espresso to popularize this tea among foreign tourists. It feels nice to see growing of all healthy drinks like green tea and the african red tea in today’s time of colas and other unhealthy drinks.

The topic is very informative. First time I came to know about African red tea. It contains many absorbable nutrients like iron, potassium, calcium, copper, zinc, magnesium, and fluoride, which are necessary for our physical condition.

  4. You’re absolutely right that African red tea is like vitamins for the skin. I’m a HUGE believer in drinking (and using otherwise) teas. My body can really tell when I do not have a good tea routine. In fact, I’m drinking some Rooibus right now!

  5. I have seen Roobois in tea for years. I especially like a Vanilla brand that tastes really good. I have not heard of it in skin products before. I guess if it is good for you on the inside, it should also be good on the outside. Thanks for the post.

  6. Tax Problems says:

I have heard of the effects of green teas, and because of all of the good things I hear, I’m a huge proponent of using green tea in anything. Can you offer a compare/contrast between green tea and red tea? Why did you choose red tea? I’m really interested. I assume it is the same as Rooibus?

  7. Cho Yung Tea says:

i think the flavour and the antidiabetic and fat burning property of it is what makes it so effective..

  8. I have read some where that red tea is not just good for skin it have some polyphenols act as powerful antioxidants which can actually prevent cancer it is also used to enhance immune system.
