Summer Skin is in!

Summer skin. Everyone wants to look sexy and hot in summer, women and men alike.  Here are some tips and tricks to combat summer skin concerns!

  • Cover up!

Many people think it’s not necessary to wear sunscreen when they’re not out in the sun, but this is false!  UVA and UVB rays can still penetrate the skin on overcast days or through windows when you’re inside.  Shielding yourself from sun damage is as using a daily moisturizing crème with SPF.  Ole recommend using an crème, lotion or lip balm with an SPF 15 for daily use and 50+ when you’re in the sun for an extended period of time.

  • Dull skin?

Exfoliation is an often forgotten step in revealing luminous skin! OLEHENRIKSEN loofah body scrub energizes and cleanses the skin with natural loofah to exfoliate gently and vitamins A and E to heal and renew with antioxidants. After exfoliating, try boosting your skin’s healthy glow with OLEHENRIKSEN lavender body oil.  Starting with damp skin apply with hands and work it in firm circular motions starting at your feet.  Work with a small amount at a time so you don’t look greasy.  Lavender is calming and soothing after a day in the sun and the natural oil will help your skin stay hydrated and give you a dewy glow.

  • Overheated and parched from a day out in the sun?

Keep skin tonics, like OLEHENRIKSEN pick me up  face mist, in the fridge and mist your face throughout the day.  At night you can pull the tonic out and mist your face again before bed – tonics help the skin to retain moisture and encourage cell renewal while you sleep.

  • Too much sun?

As hard as we try to stay covered – sunburns do happen to the best of us!  Keep your all-purpose aloe gel in the fridge as well – it can be applied after a day in the sun to cool and calm skin.  Use it as a face mask, too, as it will help to rejuvenate skin after spending time out in the elements.

These ideas will get you ready to look and feel fabulous in the endless days of summer!
